I think this unusual spongeware bowl with twisted body and elevated center was designed as a juicer or inspired by a juicer style form. Wonderful sponge work with a blue glaze so dark its almost black. For serving or decor the unusual form is an eye catching addition to any room.
Measures: 7 diam at 3.25 rim - 3.25 diam. across foot - no makers ID - no chips or cracks - 15 twist lines - 1.5 high center mound.
