Stabilization and Tracking in After Effects

A common request for Editors is to stabilize footage (remove shake) or to track footage ( track the movement of an object). In this webinar we look at the tools in Adobe After Effects used to perform tracking and stabilization. We will cover the Warp Stabilizer (VFX), Track Camera, and Track Motion and when to use which tool. We also look at when to use Mocha AE, a separate app bundled with After Effects.

  • Warp Stabilize VFX (more powerful than the Premiere Pro version)
  • Track Motion (Point Tracker)
  • Track Camera (3D Camera Tracker)
  • Mocha AE (Planar Tracker)
