This line was only made in 1979, I believe. It was called the islander line, and very short lived. This is an extraordinarily rare item. After some research, I've seen them called butter pats, spoon rests, and an ashtray. The McCoy book I have says it's an ashtray. It could be either, but would also make a lovely trinket dish.
