Morph

Overview

A morph is a process whereby a source image is warped into the shape of a destination image, while the destination image begins warped to match the source image, then resolves back to its original form. When a cross dissolve mixes the two warps the result is the illusion of the source image changing form into the destination. While in the past morphs have been used for extreme effects, morphs are more commonly used to disguise edits of similar material, such as jump cuts between blended takes.
