Steadicam

Overview

The steadicam shot is seen in just about every major motion picture. It allows the filmmaker to bring the camera along with the action, without having to lay track for a dolly or set up a crane or a jib. The steadicam is counterbalanced, and utilizes a spring loaded dampening arm to help make the shot as smooth as the operator chooses to make it.
