Dailies

Overview

Dailies, also known as rushes in British productions, are the raw, unedited footage collected at the end of each shooting day to be viewed the following day by the director and other creative members of the film crew. During the days of tape and film, this was a day-to-day process. However, with the help of professional DITs, footage can be transcoded and uploaded so the producer or even the editor can watch and begin work within minutes of it being shot.
