Jib

Overview

A jib is a boom device with a camera on one end and counterweights on the other. It functions as a lever, using the tripod or dolly as a fulcrum. Jibs allow for a wider range of camera movements when a shot needs to move a great distance.

A jib arm creates similar camera movements to a crane, without the additional expense or space requirements.
