Metadata

Overview

Metadata, simply put, is data about the contents of audio and video. Metadata stores information about a piece of media that would be useful to know. A footage clip’s metadata may contain information about it’s format, length, camera settings, and date shot, useful for an assistant editor when organizing and labeling clips.
