NTSC

Overview

NTSC stands for the National Television System Committee, and is the analog television system used in the United States, as well as parts of South America, Canada, Mexico and Eastern Asia. NTSC consists of video displayed at 29.97 interlaced frames per second and has a total of 525 scan lines. With the move to high definition television, NTSC has been superseded by ATSC.
