DSLR

Overview

DSLR stands for Digital Single Lens Reflex and refers to a camera that uses a mirror to reflect light into a viewfinder. When the camera’s shutter is depressed, the mirror rotates away to provide a direct path to the camera’s digital image sensor.

DSLR cameras have become popular with filmmakers in recent years with the advent of high-definition video recording, since the quality of the interchangeable lenses often exceeds that of traditional dedicated video cameras at a similar price point.
