Knee

Overview

The knee function on a camera helps with bringing back more detail in clipped, highlighted areas. Setting the knee point will determine how much of the scene will be affected. When set at 90%, only the brightest 10% will be adjusted. The knee slope affects how much detail will be brought back into the image. However, too flat a slope will lower the contrast in the highlights. This function is useful in softening the sometimes harsh edges on clipped highlighted areas.
